Visiting Professors from Staffordshire University

The MGT702 Entrepreneurship course, which is a required core course currently taught by Dr. Nizam Najd in our new MBA program concentration in "Marketing and Entrepreneurship" here at MUBS, was recently visited by Dr. Stephen Malone, a senior professor in the Enterprise, Innovation and Sustainability Department of the Business School at Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom. Dr. Malone's week long lecture series brought a different outlook and approach to entrepreneurship and introduced our MBA students to a cross-regional attitude regarding entrepreneurship as practiced, acknowledged, and experienced in the United Kingdom and in Europe in general. This multiple perspective also contributed to lively, participative, and energetic class briefings and discussions, especially regarding the entrepreneurial philosophy, process, mentality, and personality as envisioned, understood, simulated, integrated, assimilated, localized, and/or institutionalized by European and Middle Eastern societies and cultures and by Lebanese entrepreneurs and aspiring innovators. Again, this unique atmosphere and opportunity was made available via the TEMPUS Project's ASPIRE Program and the joint effort of Staffordshire University and MUBS.

Furthermore, Mrs. Janet Fletcher, Human Resource Management lecturer at Staffordshire University , United Kingdom, visited MUBS between November 14th & November 18th and taught 5 sessions of the MGT501 "Managing People and Teams" course. Mrs. Fletcher had an enjoyable and a fruitful experience teaching and meeting with both the students and the staff at MUBS. The students benefited from her wide experience and enjoyed her classes.
