1. Where is MUBS located?

MUBS has 5 campuses:

2. Is MUBS accredited?

Yes. In October 2007, the academic status changed from a university college to a university, under the decree number 868. Over the years, MUBS was able to position itself as an institution that strives for excellence and modernity, taking huge strides every year to maintain a high quality education that introduces the latest pedagogical approaches. MUBS remains committed, now more than ever, to its goals and mission as it continues to push forward to realize its vision through extensive internal development programs in association with the European Union Tempus Programs and partnerships with internationally recognized universities in the US, UK, France and Canada.


3. How much is the tuition fee?

The tuition fee is based on each major:

$175 per credit –Business and Computer Science

$180 per credit- Health

$150 per credit- Education and Social Work

$200-225 per credit- Masters

$180 per credit- Teaching

International Credits:

    $6,000 per year- British Program

    $11,000 program- Graduate/Masters

    $7,500 per year, $30,000 per year- DBA

French Masters:

    $ 4,000 M1

    $ 4, 500 M2

 


4. MUBS Opening Hours:

Classes: Monday –Thursday, 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM (Some classes are also given on Friday)

Administrative Staff: Monday- Saturday


5. When do classes start and end?

Fall- October 12 until January 26 (Final exams January 29 – February 5)

Spring- February 15 until May 24 (Final exams May 27- June 3)

Summer- June 13 until August 9 (Final exams August 12-19)


6. What are the requirements for admission to the Undergraduate Class?

-Three recent passport size color photographs certified by the mayor

-1 Copy of the ID

-1 certified copy of the personal civil status record

-1 certified copy of the family civil status record

-1 certified copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate II degree or equivalent

-1 certified copy of the official transcripts of the last three years of study (Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth grade)

-Certificate of Medical Health

-Transfer documents (if applicable)

-A non-refundable application fee of $120

-A certificate from the National Security Fund (if applicable)

Depending on their major, all new students might be required to sit for an English, Math, and Science Placement Exams.


7. What are the requirements for admission for the Undergraduate Class?

-Application form

- Three recent passport size color photographs certified by the mayor

-1 certified copy of the personal civil status record

-1 certified copy of the family civil status record

-1 certified copy of the official transcripts of the last two years of study

-SAT I and SAT II scores

-A non-refundable application fee of $120

-A non-refundable placement test fee


8. What are the requirements for admission to the Freshman Class?

-Application form

-Certified copies of all official certificates or diplomas + official transcripts

-A photocopy of the identity card or passport, and a family status document for applicants

-Two letters of recommendation

- MUBS Graduate Admission Test

-TOEFL score (paper-based: 600, computer based: 250, internet based: 100)

-CV

-2 photos


9. Are there any scholarships or financial aid offered to students?  

Yes, depending on the academic and social file of each student. For more information, please contact admissions@mubs.edu.lb


10.   What is the language of instruction at MUBS?

Courses are taught in English, French, and Arabic.


11.   Do students have free internet access?

Yes, WIFI is available for students for university purposes.


12.   How can I get involved in student clubs and extracurricular activities?

During the first two weeks of the semester, orientation is held where the student can apply for sports and other activities.


13.   What services and benefits are offered to MUBS alumni?

-Financial benefit-If a student wants to proceed with their Masters, MUBS offers a special discount.

- Job fair- We offer job opportunities every year at the Job Fair for students and alumni.

- Career advising- Our faculty and staff offer continuous mentoring opportunities to our students before they graduate; these opportunities are extended to MUBS alumni and our workshops and networking opportunities are at their disposal.
