Freshman Academics

Freshman Program:

The freshman program is a requirement for students who have completed a 12-year program and obtained an American high school degree that is considered a non-Lebanese Baccalaureate. This high school diploma should be awarded by the government or recognized by a private school. To complete the freshman program each student must complete 30 freshman credits at MUBS.  The difference between each freshman program depends on which major the student would like to pursue after the completion of the program. The freshman-year program prepares students to pursue higher education within the requirements defined by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Students admitted to this program must have the following in addition to the main documents:

1. Permission from MEHE to join the freshman program for the academic year

2. Attestation of completion for the 12 years of schooling

3. Results of SAT1 and SAT2: combined score of 2150 for freshman Arts and 2300 for freshman Science (but may be subject to change according to the MEHE). Applicants must submit SAT I score prior to admission and SAT II score during the freshman year and before starting the sophomore year.

4. Baccalaureate equivalency from MEHE (after attaining the required scores for SAT1 and SAT2) should also be submitted to MUBS.
