MUBS at the 17th Congress of Syndicate of Opticians and Optometrists in Lebanon

Faculty members and students of the MUBS Optometry and Vision Science Department attended the 17th Congress of MUBS at the 17th Congress of Syndicate of Opticians and Optometrists in Lebanon on September 24, 2017, at the Coral Beach Hotel and Resort, Beirut.

The Congress featured a series of lectures on trending topics such as Scleral Contact Lenses and Practical Low Vision Care and hosted an array of workshops and an exhibition for state-of-the-art optical and ophthalmic products and instrumentation.

MUBS Optometry and Vision Science students were among the winners of a poster design contest organized by the Syndicate: Jawad Msharafieh won 1st prize for his poster entitled Sensor Systems Integrated on Soft Contact Lenses for Continuous Physiological Glucose and IOP Monitoring and Laura Ajab 3rd prize for her poster entitled Low Vision Rehabilitation Using Contact Lenses. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes during the closing ceremony.

Congratulations to the MUBS Optometry and Vision Science Department headed by Ahmed Sherry, Acting Chair, on their success at the 17th Congress of Union and Optometrists of Lebanon.
