MUBS Offers New Orient Academy School Students Free Health Check-ups

The latest in the MUBS Health Day series of events took place on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at New Orient Academy School in Aberchmoun.

More than 50 students were offered free medical examinations, which included:

1. Glucose testing indicating the level of glucose in blood

2. Vision screening check indicating eye testing (impairment, difficulties, etc.)

3. Body Composition testing the BMI to indicate underweight, normal, overweight, and obese students

4. Waist circumference testing will also be performed to indicate visceral fat (fat in the abdomen region).

As a sponsor to our event, Roche - Lebanon has generously offered all materials regarding glucose testing including glucose meters, strips and AC Safe T Pro Uno.

These free services were provided by the School of Health Sciences' team of medical doctors, optometrists, and dietitians, supported by distinguished students of Public Health, Nutrition, and Optometry & Vision Science.
