All new students are required to sit for a placement test in English language to determine their level of proficiency in the English Language. Based on the exam results, students will be assigned to complete the appropriate remedial course, if necessary: Fundamentals of English (Eng100), Intermediate English (Eng101), and Upper Intermediate English (Eng102). Each course is valued at 5 Credits.
New students in Business and Computer Science are required to sit for an additional placement test in Mathematics. Students scoring 24 and above will be allowed to register for regular Mathematics courses. Students scoring less than 24 will be required to take the Basic Math (Math101) remedial course.
School of Health Sciences new students are required to sit for placement tests in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and Biology. Students scoring less than 12/20 will be required to take remedial courses in the courses they need to improve on: CHM101, BIO101, PHY101 or Math101.
Graphic Design Department new students are required to sit for a placement test in Graphic Design Aptitude test to determine their drawing capabilities.
