BS in Economics
Majoring in economics enables the student to understand issues related to the national economy. Major economic indicators are explained such as the Gross Domestic Product and key policies are discussed such as the fiscal and monetary policy. Issues like unemployment, inflation, debt, deficit, development, and growth are presented and analyzed as well. Furthermore, an economics graduate is equipped with the needed knowledge to understand the cost structure of a firm as well as the market structure it operates in i.e. monopoly, oligopoly, or competition. He/she is taught how to optimize prices, minimize costs, and maximize profits.

Students are also exposed to the international trade theories and labor theories. A holder of a bachelor degree in economics is qualified to work in a firm and do micro operations or to specialize in the macroeconomic analysis.
