Programs
** Children cancer centers: Students visit the patients and engage in therapeutic social activities.
** Operating Non-profit agencies: MUBS students are encouraged to volunteer with operating non-profit agencies in Lebanon in support of their activities.
** Orphans tutoring: An after school program for orphans children (Lebanese and Palestinian refugees) in which they receive one-on-one homework help with an MUBS student volunteer twice a week.
** Neighbor to neighbor: Students paint, clean up, and visit senior citizens in the surrounding neighborhood, building relationships along the way.
** Prepare & Serve Food: An opportunity for students to help prepare and serve food in the elderly centers in Lebanon.
** Writing initiative: A program where MUBs students provide mentoring and writing assistance to local middle school and high school students.
** Service trips: Allows students to immerse into communities other than their own for a short period of time in order to complete community service projects and participate in experiential learning.
** Environmental protection: Volunteer opportunities for students to make a difference in the community environment.
** Blood drives: At least twice a year, MUBS provides students with the opportunity to donate blood.
** Computer literacy for local municipalities’ staff: A program that provides local municipalities staff with basic computer training and education in an adult sensitive framework. |
